Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Prepare Your Work Area
Set up a clean, well-lit work area. Ensure you have all necessary tools and materials. Wear an antistatic wrist strap to prevent static damage to the console's components.
Remove the Back Panel
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the back panel of the Nintendo Switch Pro. Carefully use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the back panel off. Be cautious not to damage any internal cables or components.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and gently unplug it using a spudger or plastic opening tool. This will ensure there's no power running through the console while you work on it.
Access the Disc Drive
Identify the disc drive within the console. It will be located near the side where discs are inserted. Carefully remove any screws or brackets securing the disc drive using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Clean and Inspect the Disc Drive
Use a can of compressed air to gently clean the disc drive, removing any dust or debris. Inspect the drive for any visible damage or obstructions that could affect its operation.
Replace or Reinstall the Disc Drive
If the disc drive is damaged beyond repair, replace it with a new one. Align the replacement drive properly and secure it with the screws. If the drive is not damaged, carefully reinstall it, ensuring all connections are secure.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector, ensuring it is securely in place. This will restore power to the console once it's reassembled.
Reassemble the Console
Carefully align and attach the back panel of the console. Secure it with the screws you removed earlier using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Test the Disc Drive
Power on the console and test the disc drive by inserting a disc. Ensure it reads and ejects properly. If issues persist, double-check connections and installation.
