Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the Side button along with either of the Volume buttons until the power off slider appears. Slide to power off the device completely.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning connector at the bottom edge of the phone.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use an iOpener or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the phone. This will soften the adhesive securing the screen, making it easier to lift.
Create a Gap with a Suction Handle
Place a suction handle near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap to help separate the adhesive.
Remove the Display Assembly
Carefully slide the plastic opening tool around the edges of the phone to release the adhesive. Open the phone like a book, with the right side acting as the hinge. Be cautious not to pull the display too far away as it's still connected by several cables.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Tri-point Y000 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Remove the bracket and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Remove the screws securing the display cable bracket using the Tri-point Y000 screwdriver. Carefully lift the bracket and disconnect the display cables using a spudger.
Install the New Display
Connect the new display by attaching the display cables in reverse order. Secure them with the bracket and screws removed earlier.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and secure the battery connector bracket with the screws.
Close and Seal the Device
Carefully align the new screen and press it into place. Use new adhesive strips or screen sealant if necessary to ensure the screen is properly sealed. Replace the Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the device.
