Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before starting the repair, ensure your iPhone 11 Pro is completely powered off. To do this, press and hold the Side button and either volume button until the slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
Remove Pentalobe Screws
Use a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to remove the two screws located at the bottom edge of the iPhone, next to the charging port. Keep these screws in a safe place as you will need them for reassembly.
Open the Device
Place a suction cup on the lower half of the display. While holding the iPhone down with one hand, pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure to create a small gap between the display and the rear case. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully pry the display open, working around the edges to release the clips. Do not fully detach the display yet.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the display is partially open, use a Phillips screwdriver (PH000) to remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Remove the bracket and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector, ensuring the device has no power running through it.
Disconnect Display Cables
Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the display connector bracket. Carefully remove the bracket and disconnect the display cables using a spudger or tweezers.
Remove the Old Display
Carefully lift the display assembly away from the iPhone. If you encounter resistance, ensure all screws and connectors are fully removed.
Install the New Display
Align the new display's connectors to the respective sockets on the logic board. Press the connectors into place gently but firmly with a spudger or your finger.
Reassemble the Device
Reattach the display connector bracket and secure it with screws using the Tri-point Y000 screwdriver. Reconnect the battery connector and secure the battery connector bracket using the Phillips screwdriver. Ensure all components are aligned properly.
Seal the Device
Before closing the device, apply new adhesive to the edges of the display to ensure a proper seal. Carefully align the display with the rear case and press down firmly around the edges to secure it in place.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the functionality of the new screen. Check for touch responsiveness and ensure the display is working correctly. If everything is functioning as expected, the repair is complete.
