Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure your iPhone 11 is completely powered off to prevent any electrical hazards. Press and hold the power button and either volume button until the power off slider appears, then slide it to shut down the phone.
Remove Pentalobe Screws
Using a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the charging port at the bottom edge of your iPhone 11.
Heat the Display
Apply an iOpener or carefully use a heat gun to warm up the edges of the iPhone 11 display. This helps to soften the adhesive securing the screen. Be cautious not to overheat the device.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction handle on the lower half of the screen, just above the home button. Gently pull up on the suction handle while using a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the screen away from the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a tri-point screwdriver (Y000) to remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the logic board to ensure safety while working on the device.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Remove the screws securing the display connector bracket using a tri-point screwdriver. Carefully disconnect the three ribbon cables connecting the display to the logic board using a spudger.
Remove the Old Display
Once the cables are disconnected, you can remove the old display completely. Be cautious of any adhesive that may still be attached.
Install the New Display
Position the new display and reconnect the three ribbon cables to the logic board. Ensure each connection is secure and aligned properly.
Reconnect the Battery and Secure Brackets
Reconnect the battery connector and secure both the battery and display connector brackets with their respective screws using the tri-point screwdriver.
Seal the Screen
Apply the new adhesive strips around the edges of the phone. Carefully press the display down to seal it back in place. Reinsert the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the phone.
