Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button along with the volume down button until the 'slide to power off' slider appears. Slide to power off the device completely.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use the Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to remove the two screws located at the bottom edge of the iPhone near the charging port.
Apply Heat to the Screen
Use an iOpener or a heat gun to apply moderate heat to the edges of the iPhone's screen for 1-2 minutes. This helps soften the adhesive securing the screen.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction handle near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to release the adhesive.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket using the Phillips screwdriver (PH000). Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.
Remove the Display Assembly
Use the Tri-point screwdriver (Y000) to remove the screws securing the display cable bracket. Disconnect the display cables using a spudger or tweezers. Carefully lift the display assembly away from the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen to the device's frame. Reconnect the display cables and secure them with the bracket and screws using the Tri-point screwdriver (Y000).
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the logic board and secure it with the bracket and screws using the Phillips screwdriver (PH000).
Seal the Screen
Carefully align the screen with the frame and press gently to ensure it adheres securely. If necessary, use new adhesive strips to secure the screen.
Replace the Pentalobe Screws
Use the Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to replace the two screws at the bottom edge of the device near the charging port.
