Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use the Pentalobe (P2) screwdriver to remove the two screws located at the bottom of the phone near the charging port.
Heat the Edges
Apply heat using an iOpener or heat gun around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat, which can damage the internal components.
Separate the Screen
Attach the suction handle near the bottom edge of the front panel. Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry up the screen, starting from the bottom. Carefully work your way around the edges to loosen the adhesive.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket using a Tri-point (Y000) screwdriver. Carefully detach the battery connector using a spudger to isolate power to the phone.
Remove the Display Connector Bracket
Use the Phillips (PH000) screwdriver to remove the screws holding the display connector bracket. Lift and remove the bracket with tweezers.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the display cables connecting the screen to the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new display's cables to the motherboard. Secure the cables under the bracket and replace the screws.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector and secure it with the bracket and screws.
Seal the Screen
Carefully align and press the new screen into place, ensuring that the adhesive is secure. Reinsert the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the phone.
