Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power-off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone completely. This ensures your safety and prevents potential damage to the device during repair.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using the Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning connector at the bottom edge of the iPhone. Place these screws in a safe place as you will need them for reassembly.
Heat the Screen Edges
Use an iOpener or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the screen. This softens the adhesive securing the display. Be careful not to overheat the device to avoid internal component damage.
Separate the Screen
Apply a suction cup to the lower half of the front screen. Gently pull up on the suction cup while using a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the display from the body, starting from the bottom edge and moving upwards. Take your time as the display is attached with cables.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket using a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver. Carefully lift the bracket and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger to prevent short circuits during the repair.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Remove the screws securing the display cable bracket using a Phillips #000 screwdriver. Lift the bracket and disconnect the display cables using a spudger. This allows you to completely remove the display from the iPhone body.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen and reconnect the display cables. Secure them with the cable bracket and screws. Ensure all connections are firm and properly seated.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with its bracket and screws. This will power up the device once it is reassembled.
Seal the Screen
Gently press the screen back into its frame. Use adhesive strips designed for the iPhone 14 Pro Max to ensure a secure fit. Apply pressure evenly along the edges to ensure the adhesive bonds properly.
Reinstall the Pentalobe Screws
Finally, reinstall the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone. This completes the reassembly process.
