Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Down and Remove Pentalobe Screws
Turn off your iPhone 14 and remove any connected accessories. Using a Pentalobe (P2) screwdriver, remove the two screws located at the bottom edge of the phone near the charging port.
Heat the Display
Use an iOpener or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the iPhone for about 1-2 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the display, making it easier to open.
Open the iPhone
Place a suction handle on the lower half of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Take care around the corners and avoid inserting the tool too deeply.
Disconnect the Battery
Open the phone slightly, like a book, from the left edge. Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove screws from the battery connector cover. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector to prevent any power flow.
Remove the Display
Remove screws securing the display connector bracket using a tri-point Y000 screwdriver. Disconnect the display connectors using a spudger. Carefully remove the old screen from the body of the phone.
Install the New Screen
Position the new display and connect the connectors securely. Reattach the display connector bracket using the tri-point Y000 screwdriver.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector and secure the cover with the Phillips #000 screws. Ensure the connector is firmly in place.
Seal the iPhone
Carefully align and press down the new screen onto the phone body. Ensure the adhesive is securing the screen properly. Use the Pentalobe (P2) screwdriver to replace the two screws at the bottom edge of the phone.
Power On and Test
Power on the iPhone 14 and check the new screen for proper functionality. Test the touch response and display clarity to ensure everything is working correctly.
