Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the iPhone
Press and hold the power button and either volume button until the power-off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone completely before proceeding with the repair.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning port at the bottom of the iPhone.
Open the iPhone
Apply a suction cup to the lower half of the screen, just above the home button. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges to soften the adhesive. Carefully pull up on the suction cup while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the body. Insert an opening pick along the edge to prevent the adhesive from resealing.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Tri-point screwdriver (Y000) to remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Carefully lift the bracket and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector, preventing any accidental short circuits.
Remove the Display Assembly
Remove the screws securing the display connector bracket using a Phillips (PH00) screwdriver. Use the spudger to disconnect the front panel sensor assembly connector, the OLED panel connector, and the digitizer connector. Carefully lift and remove the display assembly.
Install the New Screen
Position the new screen next to the iPhone and connect the front panel sensor assembly, OLED panel, and digitizer connectors. Ensure each connector is securely in place before proceeding.
Reattach the Display Connector Bracket
Secure the display connectors by reattaching the bracket with the Phillips screws. Ensure the bracket is aligned correctly and all screws are tightened properly.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and reattach the connector bracket with the Tri-point screws to ensure the battery is securely connected.
Seal the iPhone
Carefully align the new screen with the frame of the iPhone. Remove the adhesive backing from the new screen adhesive seal and apply it around the edges of the frame. Press the screen firmly into place.
Replace the Pentalobe Screws
Finally, secure the screen by replacing the two Pentalobe screws on either side of the Lightning port.
