Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power-off slider appears. Slide to power off the device completely.
Remove Pentalobe Screws
Use a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to remove the two screws located at the bottom edge of the iPhone, near the charging port.
Heat the Display
Use a heat gun or an iOpener to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive securing the display, making it easier to open.
Open the Display
Attach a suction handle just above the home button. While holding down the iPhone, pull up on the suction handle to create a small gap. Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the display away from the frame, starting at the bottom edge.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Remove the bracket and carefully disconnect the battery connector using a plastic tool.
Disconnect Display Cables
Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the display cable bracket. Remove the bracket and carefully disconnect the display cables using a plastic tool.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently lift the screen away from the device, ensuring no cables are still connected. If any adhesive remains, clean it off the frame with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
Install the New Screen
Position the new screen and connect the display cables. Secure the cables with the bracket and screws using the Phillips #000 screwdriver.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with the bracket and screws using the Tri-point Y000 screwdriver.
Close the Display and Secure
Carefully align the top edge of the display with the top of the phone and press it into place. Reinstall the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the device to secure the screen.
