Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the 'slide to power off' appears. Slide it to the right to turn off the iPhone 16 completely.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using the Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the charging port at the bottom of the device.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Gently apply heat around the edges of the iPhone 16 using an iOpener or hairdryer for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive and make it easier to lift the screen.
Open the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen, then carefully pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and gently pry around the edges to release the adhesive. Open the screen like a book, keeping it supported at a 90-degree angle.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Tri-point screwdriver (Y000), remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Remove the cover and use a plastic opening tool to gently disconnect the battery connector.
Remove the Display Assembly
Using the Phillips screwdriver (PH000), remove the screws securing the display connectors bracket. Lift off the bracket and gently disconnect the display cables using a plastic tool. Carefully remove the display assembly from the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone and carefully connect the display cables. Replace the display connectors bracket and secure it with the screws using the Phillips screwdriver.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector using the plastic tool, then replace and secure the battery connector cover with the Tri-point screwdriver.
Seal the Screen
Carefully align the screen with the body of the iPhone 16 and press firmly along the edges to adhere the adhesive. Ensure the screen is properly seated.
Secure the Pentalobe Screws
Replace the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the device using the Pentalobe screwdriver to secure the screen.
