Power Off the iPhone
Before beginning the repair, ensure your iPhone 4s is completely powered off. Hold the power button and slide to power off.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use the Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two screws located on either side of the dock connector. Place the screws in a safe place, as they are very small.
Separate the Back Panel
Place the suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and gently pull upwards to loosen it. Slide the back panel upwards and remove it from the device.
Disconnect the Battery
Use the Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector. Carefully disconnect the battery using the spudger, being mindful not to damage the logic board.
Remove the Display Assembly
Remove the screws securing the metal shield covering the display connectors. Gently disconnect the three display connectors using the spudger. Carefully lift the display assembly away from the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and carefully connect the display connectors. Secure the metal shield over the connectors with the screws. Ensure all connections are snug and properly seated.
Reattach the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with its screws. Ensure the battery is firmly in place.
Reassemble the iPhone
Slide the back panel onto the device and gently press down to secure it. Reinsert the two Pentalobe screws on either side of the dock connector.
Power On and Test
Power on the iPhone and ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity.
