Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure your workspace is clean, well-lit, and free of static electricity. Gather all tools and materials needed for the repair. Power off your iPhone 6 Plus completely before starting.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use the Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two screws located on either side of the lightning port at the bottom of the phone. Keep these screws safe as they are small and easy to lose.
Open the iPhone
Place a suction cup just above the home button and gently pull up to create a small gap between the display assembly and the rear case. Use a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the display along the sides of the phone. Lift the display to a 90-degree angle.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the Phillips screws securing the metal battery connector bracket. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from its socket on the logic board, preventing accidental power during the repair.
Disconnect the Display Assembly
Remove the screws securing the display cable bracket. Use a spudger to disconnect the front camera, digitizer, and display cables. Carefully lift and remove the old display assembly from the phone.
Transfer Components to New Screen
If your new screen does not come with pre-installed components, transfer the home button, front camera, and other necessary components from the old screen to the new one using a Phillips screwdriver and tweezers.
Install the New Display Assembly
Connect the new display assembly by attaching the display, digitizer, and front camera cables to their respective connectors on the logic board. Re-secure the display cable bracket with screws.
Reassemble the iPhone
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the metal bracket over it. Carefully align the new display assembly with the rear case and press down gently to snap it into place.
Secure the Display
Reinsert and tighten the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the iPhone to secure the display. Power on the device to ensure the new screen functions correctly.
