Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the 'slide to power off' option appears. Slide to power off your iPhone to ensure it is completely off before proceeding.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning connector at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
Open the iPhone
Place a suction cup just above the home button and gently pull upwards to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the clips holding the screen in place. Lift the screen gently from the left side, opening it like a book.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the Phillips screws securing the metal battery connector bracket and set the bracket aside. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector from the logic board to avoid any electrical shorts during the repair.
Remove the Display Assembly
Remove the screws securing the metal bracket covering the display connectors. Use a spudger to disconnect the front camera, home button, and display data cables. Gently lift and remove the display assembly from the body of the phone.
Transfer Components to the New Screen
Carefully transfer any components from the old screen to the new one, such as the front camera, earpiece speaker, and home button, using a Phillips screwdriver and tweezers.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone body and connect the display data, home button, and front camera connectors. Secure the metal bracket over the connectors with the screws.
Reconnect the Battery and Close the iPhone
Reconnect the battery connector to the logic board and secure the metal bracket over it. Carefully align and press the screen back into the phone, snapping it securely into place. Reinstall the Pentalobe screws at the bottom edge.
Test the New Screen
Power on your iPhone and test the new screen for functionality, ensuring touch responsiveness and display clarity. Check that all components transferred from the old screen are working properly.
