Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then slide to power off the device completely. Wait for the screen to go dark before proceeding.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using the Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning port at the bottom of the phone.
Open the iPhone
Place a suction handle on the lower half of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap, and carefully work your way around the edges to release the clips holding the screen in place. Lift the display gently, but do not remove it completely yet.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket using the Phillips #000 screwdriver. Carefully lift the bracket and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger to ensure there is no power running through the device during repair.
Disconnect the Display
Remove the screws and metal shield covering the display connectors. Use the spudger to gently disconnect the front camera and sensor cable connector, home button connector, display data cable connector, and digitizer cable connector to fully detach the screen from the device.
Transfer Components to New Screen
Carefully transfer the earpiece speaker, front camera, and home button assembly from the old screen to the new replacement screen. This may involve unscrewing and disconnecting small components. Take your time and ensure all components are transferred correctly.
Reconnect the Display
Connect the new display by attaching the digitizer, display data, home button, and front camera/sensor cable connectors. Secure them with the metal shield and screws removed earlier.
Reconnect the Battery and Close the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with the bracket and screws. Align the top edge of the display with the device and press down gently around the edges to secure the clips. Replace the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the phone.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality, including touch response, display clarity, and home button functionality. Make sure everything works as expected before finishing.
