Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your iPhone 7 Plus until the 'slide to power off' option appears. Slide to power off the device completely before proceeding.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use the P2 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning connector at the bottom of the phone. Keep these screws in a safe place as they are small and easy to lose.
Open the Display
Apply a suction cup to the lower half of the front screen. While holding the phone securely, gently pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the display and the rear case. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and gently pry the display open. Work your way around the edges to release the clips but do not fully detach the display yet.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket, then use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board. This step is crucial to prevent electrical issues during the repair.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Remove the screws securing the display cable bracket using the tri-point Y000 screwdriver. Carefully disconnect the display cables using a spudger, ensuring you do not damage the connectors.
Install the New Display
Carefully align and connect the new display cables to the logic board. Reattach the display cable bracket with the screws you previously removed. Make sure all connections are secure before proceeding.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector to the logic board and secure it with the bracket and screws. Ensure the battery is properly connected and the bracket is firmly in place.
Seal the Display
Carefully align the display with the rear case and gently press it into place. Ensure the clips around the edges are securely fastened. Once the display is aligned, reinstall the two pentalobe screws at the bottom of the phone.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test the touch functionality and check for proper display quality. If everything appears to be working, you have successfully replaced the screen.
