Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then slide to power off the device completely. Wait for a few seconds to ensure it is fully powered down.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to remove the two screws located at the bottom edge of the iPhone, beside the lightning port.
Heat the Display Edges
Use an iOpener or a hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the display to soften the adhesive. Do not overheat as it might damage the device.
Open the iPhone
Attach a suction handle to the lower half of the display and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap to carefully separate the display from the rear case. Work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Do not fully remove the display yet.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the battery connector bracket. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector from the logic board to prevent any electrical current during the repair.
Disconnect the Display Connectors
Remove the screws securing the display connector bracket and set it aside. Use a spudger to disconnect the three display connectors. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connectors or the logic board.
Remove the Old Display
Carefully lift the display assembly away from the iPhone body. If any adhesive remains, gently peel it off.
Install the New Display
Align the new display assembly with the iPhone body. Reconnect the three display connectors and secure them with the connector bracket and screws.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the logic board and secure it with the bracket and screws.
Secure the New Display
Carefully align the new display and press it into place. Reinsert the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the device. Power on the device to ensure the new screen functions correctly.
