Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the 'slide to power off' option appears. Slide it to the right to power off the iPhone SE 2020 completely.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use the Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning connector at the bottom edge of the phone.
Heat the Display
Use an iOpener or a hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the display. This softens the adhesive holding the screen in place. Do not overheat; this step should take around 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Create a Gap Between the Display and Frame
Attach a suction handle to the lower half of the display. Gently pull up on the suction handle to create a small gap between the display assembly and the rear case. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap.
Separate the Display Assembly
Carefully slide the plastic opening tool around the edges of the display to break the adhesive seal. Take care not to insert the tool too far into the phone to avoid damaging internal components.
Open the Device
Gently lift the display from the left side, opening it like a book. Keep it supported as you work to prevent strain on the ribbon cables.
Disconnect the Battery
Use the Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Remove the bracket, then use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Remove the screws securing the display cable bracket. Carefully lift the bracket, then use a spudger to disconnect the display and digitizer cables.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen to the logic board by attaching the display and digitizer cables. Reinstall the cable bracket and secure it with screws.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and secure its bracket. Carefully align the new display, press it into the frame, and secure it with the pentalobe screws at the bottom.
