Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before beginning any repair, make sure to completely power off your iPhone SE 2022 to prevent any electrical hazards or damage to the device.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2), remove the two screws located on either side of the Lightning connector at the bottom edge of the phone.
Apply Heat to Loosen Adhesive
Use an iOpener or heat gun to apply heat to the edges of the phone to soften the adhesive securing the display. This will make it easier to gently lift the screen.
Open the Display
Attach a suction handle near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work it around the edges to separate the adhesive. Lift the display up but do not fully remove it yet.
Disconnect the Battery
Carefully open the display to a 90-degree angle and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector. This step is crucial to ensure that there is no power running through the device during the repair.
Disconnect the Display Connectors
Remove the screws securing the metal bracket covering the display connectors using a Phillips screwdriver. Gently lift the bracket with tweezers and use a spudger to disconnect the display connectors.
Remove the Old Display
Once all connectors are disconnected, carefully lift the old display away from the body of the phone. Set it aside.
Install the New Display
Align the new display with the phone and connect the display connectors. Ensure that each connector is securely in place.
Reassemble the Phone
Place the metal bracket back over the connectors and secure it with screws. Reconnect the battery connector. Gently press the new display into the frame of the phone and ensure it adheres securely. Finally, replace the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom.
