Follow these 11 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the side button along with either volume button until the slider appears. Slide to power off the device completely.
Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Use a Pentalobe screwdriver (P2) to remove the two screws located at the bottom edge of the phone on either side of the charging port.
Heat the Display
To soften the adhesive securing the display, use an iOpener or heat gun. Apply heat around the edges of the display for about 1-2 minutes.
Separate the Display Assembly
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen, avoiding the very edge. While holding the phone down, pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the display and the frame. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and gently pry around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Carefully lift the display slightly to open the phone like a book, from the left side.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and remove the screws using a Phillips screwdriver (PH000). Use a spudger to gently pry the battery connector from its socket on the logic board.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Remove the screws securing the connector bracket over the display cables. Use the spudger to disconnect the display cables from the logic board.
Remove the Display
Lift the display away from the frame of the iPhone. Take care not to damage any other components during removal.
Install the New Display
Align the new display with the frame and connect the display cables to the logic board. Secure the connector bracket with screws.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the logic board using the spudger. Ensure it is securely seated, then replace the screws to secure the connector bracket.
Seal the Device
Carefully align the display with the frame and press it firmly into place. Replace the two Pentalobe screws near the charging port to secure the screen.
Test the New Display
Power on the iPhone and test the new display to ensure it is functioning correctly. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity.
