Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure your Google Pixel 3 is completely powered off before beginning the repair to avoid accidental damage or injury.
Loosen the Adhesive
Apply heat around the edges of the device using a heat gun or hair dryer for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Remove the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull upward to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slide it around the edges to separate the screen from the phone. Be careful not to damage the display cables.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the metal bracket covering the display connectors. Carefully lift the bracket with tweezers and disconnect the display cables with a plastic spudger.
Remove Old Adhesive
Clean the frame of the phone using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove any remaining adhesive. Ensure the surface is smooth for the new screen installation.
Attach New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and connect the display cables. Secure the metal bracket over the connectors using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Secure the Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided adhesive tape around the edges of the device frame. Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring a secure fit.
Test the New Screen
Power on your Google Pixel 3 to test the new screen. Check for responsiveness and display clarity to ensure the repair was successful.
