Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then tap 'Power off' to completely shut down your Pixel 6 Pro. This prevents any electrical shorts or damage during the repair.
Heat the Display
Use an iOpener or heat gun to evenly heat the edges of the phone's screen. Apply heat for about 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive securing the screen.
Lift the Display
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Gently pull up to create a gap, then insert a plastic opening tool into the gap. Carefully slide the tool around the edges to release the adhesive.
Disconnect the Display
Once the screen is loose, slowly lift it from the bottom. Use a spudger to disconnect the display cable from the motherboard by gently prying up the connector.
Remove Old Adhesive
Use tweezers and isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth to remove any remaining adhesive from the phone's frame, ensuring a clean surface for the new screen.
Install New Screen
Carefully align the connector of the new screen with the motherboard and press it into place. Make sure it clicks securely.
Secure the New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips around the frame. Carefully position the new screen onto the phone and press down around the edges to ensure a secure fit.
Reassemble and Test
Power on the device by holding the power button. Test the functionality of the new screen to ensure touch sensitivity and display quality. If everything works, press down firmly on all edges to finalize the adhesive bond.
