Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' from the options. Wait until the device is completely powered down before proceeding.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool between the back cover and the phone frame. Gently work your way around the edges to loosen the adhesive, then lift the back cover off.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Carefully lift the cover using tweezers. Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any electrical discharge.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun or hairdryer to warm the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Place the suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to detach the screen from the frame, being cautious of the display cable.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame. Carefully connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the screen by pressing it into place, ensuring that the adhesive bonds properly around the edges.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the battery connector cover and secure it with the screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Carefully align the back cover with the phone frame. Press down firmly around the edges to ensure the adhesive seals the cover in place. You may use additional adhesive if necessary.
Power On and Test
Press and hold the power button to turn the device on. Test the new screen functionality to ensure touch and display operations are working correctly.
