Tools Required
- Pentalobe screwdriver (P2)
- Phillips screwdriver (PH00)
- Plastic opening tool
- Suction cup
- Spudger

- Adhesive strips (pre-cut for Pixel Fold)
- Isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher)

- Avoid using excessive force when opening the device, as internal components are delicate.
- Use a heat-resistant mat to prevent damage to your work surface.
- Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from potential glass shards.
Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Google Pixel Fold. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray to prevent any damage during the repair process.
Apply Heat and Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to lift the back cover away from the device. Work slowly to avoid damaging the back cover or internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate and unscrew the battery connector shield using the Phillips screwdriver. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector to prevent any short circuits while working on the device.
Remove the Display Assembly
Unscrew all visible screws securing the display assembly using the Pentalobe screwdriver. Use a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the display assembly from the frame. Be mindful of any cables that may still be connected.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Reconnect any display cables and secure the display assembly in place with screws. Ensure the screen sits flush against the frame before proceeding.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and secure the connector shield with screws. Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure before reassembly.
Reattach the Back Cover
Clean any residual adhesive from the back cover using isopropyl alcohol. Apply new adhesive strips to the back cover and carefully press it onto the device, ensuring a secure fit.
Power On and Test
Insert the SIM card tray and power on your Google Pixel Fold. Test the new screen for functionality, ensuring touch responsiveness and display clarity are intact.
