Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on the side of the LG G2 to turn off the device completely. Wait until the screen goes black to ensure the device is powered down.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the back cover off the LG G2. Start from the bottom edge and work your way around the sides. Be gentle to avoid snapping the plastic clips.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to gently lift and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any electrical issues during the repair.
Remove the Midframe
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Once all screws are removed, gently pry the midframe away using a spudger. Set the midframe aside.
Detach the Old Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Carefully use a suction cup to lift the screen while using a plastic opening tool to separate it from the frame.
Install the Replacement Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and press it into place. Ensure that all connectors are properly aligned and reconnected. Use adhesive strips to secure the screen, if necessary.
Reattach the Midframe
Position the midframe back onto the device and secure it with the screws removed earlier. Ensure all clips are secured and the frame is snug against the device.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard by pressing it gently into place with the spudger.
Reassemble the Device
Snap the back cover back onto the device, pressing firmly along the edges to ensure all clips are engaged.
Test the New Screen
Power on the LG G2 to test the new screen. Ensure the display is functioning properly and is responsive to touch inputs.
