Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power off option appears. Tap 'Power Off' and wait for the device to fully shut down.
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover from the bottom edge of the phone. Once the cover is removed, take out the battery by lifting it from the indent provided.
Remove the SIM Card and MicroSD Card
Use a plastic opening tool to eject the SIM card tray and remove both the SIM card and any installed MicroSD card.
Unscrew and Remove the Midframe
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all the screws securing the midframe. Gently pry the midframe away using a plastic opening tool.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Locate the display cable connector on the motherboard. Use a nylon spudger to carefully lift and disconnect the cable.
Heat and Remove the Old Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to warm the edges of the screen, softening the adhesive. Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the screen fits snugly and evenly across the frame.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe by aligning and securing it with the screws. Reinsert the SIM card and MicroSD card tray, then place the battery back into its compartment. Snap the back cover onto the phone.
Power On the Device and Test the New Screen
Press the power button to turn on the device. Test the new screen by checking for responsiveness and ensuring the display is functioning properly.
