Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove Battery
Begin by powering off your LG G4 completely. Once the device is off, remove the back cover by pulling it away from the phone. Remove the battery by gently lifting it out of its compartment.
Remove SIM Card and MicroSD Card
Use the plastic opening tool to gently remove the SIM card and microSD card from their slots. Store them safely to prevent loss or damage.
Unscrew the Midframe
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the 11 screws securing the midframe to the phone. Once all screws are removed, use the spudger to carefully separate the midframe from the rest of the phone.
Disconnect Display Cable
Locate the display cable connector on the motherboard. Use the spudger to gently disconnect the cable, taking care not to damage the connector or surrounding components.
Heat and Remove the Old Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Use the suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert the plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Work slowly to avoid breaking the screen further.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame. Carefully connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure before proceeding.
Secure the Screen and Reassemble
Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the new screen to the frame. Reattach the midframe by aligning it with the phone body and replacing the screws. Reinsert the SIM card, microSD card, and battery.
Power On and Test
Power on your LG G4 to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test the touch functionality and display clarity. If everything works, reattach the back cover.
