Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your LG V10 until the power menu appears, then select 'Power off'. Wait for the phone to completely shut down before proceeding.
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Use your fingers or a plastic opening tool to pry off the back cover from the bottom edge of the phone. Once the cover is removed, take out the battery by gently lifting it from the small notch at the bottom.
Unscrew the Midframe
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully set the screws aside as you'll need them for reassembly.
Separate the Midframe
Insert a plastic opening tool between the midframe and the rest of the phone, then gently pry around the edges to separate the midframe. Be cautious of the flex cables and connectors inside.
Disconnect the Display Connector
Use the spudger to carefully lift the display connector from the motherboard. This will free the display assembly from the rest of the device.
Apply Heat to Loosen Adhesive
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat and damage the components.
Remove the Old Screen
Place a suction cup near the top of the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a spudger or plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to release the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame. Carefully connect the display connector to the motherboard, ensuring it is securely attached.
Reassemble the Phone
Reverse the disassembly steps: attach the midframe, secure all screws, and place the battery back. Snap the back cover into place.
