Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Power off your LG V20. Use your fingers or a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover starting from the bottom edge. Once the cover is removed, take out the battery by lifting it from the bottom edge.
Remove the SIM and MicroSD Card
Using a SIM eject tool or a paperclip, eject the SIM card tray and remove both the SIM and MicroSD cards from the device.
Unscrew the Midframe
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully pry the midframe away from the phone using a plastic opening tool.
Disconnect the Screen
With tweezers or a spudger, disconnect the display cable connector from the motherboard. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connector.
Heat and Remove the Screen
Using a heat gun or hair dryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Carefully place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slide it around the edges to separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame. Carefully press it into place, ensuring it adheres properly. Reconnect the display cable to the motherboard.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe by snapping it back into place and securing it with screws. Reinsert the SIM and MicroSD cards. Place the battery back into its compartment and snap the back cover on.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Check for touch responsiveness and display quality.
