Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power options appear. Tap 'Power Off' to shut down the LG V30 completely.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool between the back cover and the frame. Slide it around the edges to release the adhesive. Lift off the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Gently pry up the midframe with a plastic opening tool. Disconnect the battery connector using a spudger for safety.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat to the front screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool. Carefully slide the tool around the edges to separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Press it down gently to ensure a proper fit. Secure it with adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reconnect the Battery and Replace the Midframe
Reattach the battery connector and place the midframe back onto the device. Secure it with the screws you removed earlier using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Carefully align the back cover with the phone’s body. Press it down gently to ensure the adhesive bonds properly. Apply light heat if necessary to secure the bond.
Power On and Test the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn on the LG V30. Test the new screen for responsiveness and check for any display issues.
