Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Press and hold the power button to turn off your LG V30s ThinQ. Once powered down, use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat and Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive holding it in place. Carefully use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to lift and separate the back cover from the phone.
Remove Internal Components
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully detach connectors and use tweezers to remove components that might obstruct the screen replacement, such as the battery and motherboard connectors.
Detach the Old Screen
Gently heat the edges of the screen with a heat gun to loosen the adhesive. Use a plastic spudger to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Take care not to damage the frame or internal components.
Install the New Screen
Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol and a cloth to remove any old adhesive residue. Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges. Carefully align and attach the new screen, ensuring all connectors are properly aligned and secured.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect all internal components, secure the midframe with screws, and reattach the back cover. Ensure all clips and connectors are properly engaged.
Test the New Screen
Power on your LG V30s ThinQ and test the new screen for functionality. Check the touch responsiveness and display quality to ensure the replacement was successful.
