Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' to completely shut down the device. This ensures safety during the repair process.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully use a suction cup and a plastic opening tool to pry off the back cover, starting at a corner and working your way around. Be patient to avoid cracking the glass.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Gently pry the midframe off with a spudger. Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any electrical short circuits.
Remove the Old Screen
Disconnect the display connector using a spudger. Apply heat to the front screen to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious of the cables and components underneath.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to affix the new screen to the frame. Press down gently to secure.
Reconnect the Battery and Midframe
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Align the midframe and press it into place. Secure it with the screws removed earlier using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the back cover. Align the cover with the phone and press it down firmly, especially around the edges, to ensure a good seal.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Check for responsiveness and ensure the display is clear and operational.
