Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your LG V60 ThinQ 5G completely. Once the device is off, use the SIM card eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply gentle heat around the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid overheating any particular area.
Remove the Back Cover
Once heated, use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive, removing the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector to prevent any electrical damage.
Remove the Broken Screen
Unscrew the screws securing the screen connectors and use tweezers to gently disconnect the flex cables. Apply heat to the front of the screen if necessary and use a suction cup and plastic tools to carefully pry off the damaged screen.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and connect the flex cables. Secure them with screws. Ensure the screen is properly seated and flush with the frame.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery and place the midframe back into position. Screw it in securely. Reattach the back cover, applying new adhesive strips if necessary, and press firmly to ensure it sticks.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Check for responsiveness and ensure that the display works correctly.
