Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover. Start at a corner and work your way around the edges to release the clips holding the cover in place.
Remove Battery Connector
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully lift the shield with tweezers and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger.
Heat and Remove the Front Screen
Gently heat the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is lifted, disconnect the display cable by using a spudger to release the connector. Carefully remove the screen from the device.
Install New Screen
Position the new screen in place and connect the display cable securely. Ensure that the connector is properly seated to avoid display issues.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or tape around the edges of the frame. Carefully align and press the new screen into the frame, ensuring a snug fit.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the connector shield. Secure the shield with the screws removed earlier.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press firmly around the edges to snap it back into place.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure the touch screen and display work correctly.
