Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
Turn off your Moto E13 by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off'. Once the device is completely powered down, use a SIM eject tool or paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the phone.
Heat and Loosen the Screen Adhesive
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive securing the screen to the frame. Move the heat source in a circular motion around the edges for about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overheat any part of the phone.
Pry Open the Screen
Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen to lift it slightly, creating a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the device to release the screen from the adhesive. Be gentle to avoid damaging the display cable below.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Once the screen is loose, carefully lift it slightly to locate the display cable connector. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the cable from the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Prepare the Frame for the New Screen
Clean the frame where the new screen will be attached using isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Remove any remaining adhesive residue to ensure a smooth installation of the new screen.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Carefully align the new screen with the frame of the phone. Once properly aligned, press down gently around the edges to secure it with the new adhesive strips.
Reassemble the Phone
Reinsert the SIM card tray into the phone. Ensure everything is properly connected and aligned. Power on your device to test the new screen. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity.
Final Checks
Once the phone is reassembled, perform a thorough check to ensure the screen is functioning correctly. Test various touch points and ensure there are no dead spots or display issues. If everything looks good, the repair is complete.
