Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold the power button until the power menu appears, then select 'Power Off'. Wait for the phone to completely shut down to ensure your safety during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover of the Moto E15. Start at the notch located at the bottom edge and work your way around the perimeter to release the clips holding the cover in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully lift the shield off and use a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery from the motherboard.
Heat and Remove the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive securing the screen. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Work around the edges slowly to avoid damaging the internal components.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is lifted, use tweezers to disconnect the ribbon cable that attaches the screen to the motherboard. This will fully detach the screen from the phone.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone's frame and connect the ribbon cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure before proceeding.
Secure the New Screen
Carefully lower the new screen onto the frame. Firmly press around the edges to ensure the adhesive bonds the screen to the frame. If using adhesive strips, apply them before securing the screen.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery to the motherboard using the plastic spudger. Replace the battery connector shield and secure it with the screws removed earlier.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press down firmly around the edges to snap it back into place. Ensure all clips are engaged.
Power On the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. Test the new screen for responsiveness and check for any display issues.
