Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair

Power Off the Device and Remove SIM Card

Press and hold the power button to turn off your Moto E20. Use the SIM card ejector tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.

Remove the Back Cover

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry open the back cover of the phone. Start from the bottom edge and carefully work your way around until the cover is detached.

Unscrew and Remove the Internal Frame

Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the internal frame. Carefully lift the frame with a spudger and set it aside.

Disconnect the Battery

Using the spudger, gently disconnect the battery connector to ensure no power is flowing through the device during the repair.

Heat and Remove the Front Screen

Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to loosen the adhesive. Once warm, use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate it from the frame.

Disconnect the Display Cable

Locate and gently disconnect the display cable using tweezers. Ensure you do this carefully to avoid damaging the connector.

Install the New Screen

Connect the new screen's display cable. Align the screen with the frame and press it gently into place. Use double-sided adhesive strips or screen adhesive to secure the new screen.

Reassemble the Phone

Reconnect the battery connector. Replace the internal frame and secure it with screws. Snap the back cover onto the device, ensuring all edges are properly aligned.

Test the New Screen

Power on your Moto E20 and test the new screen to ensure it responds to touch and displays correctly.
