Power Off the Device
Hold the power button until the power menu appears. Select 'Power Off' to completely turn off your Motorola Moto E22. This is crucial to prevent any electrical accidents during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover. Start at a corner and work your way around the edges, releasing the clips that hold the cover in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector cover using a Phillips #00 screwdriver. Carefully lift the cover and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Heat the Front Panel
Gently heat the edges of the front panel using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid overheating any part of the screen.
Detach the Broken Screen
Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen. Lift gently and insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and frame. Slide the tool around the edges to separate the screen from the adhesive.
Remove the Old Screen
Once the screen is loosened, carefully lift it away from the device, ensuring you don't damage the display cable. Use tweezers to disconnect the display cable from the motherboard and remove the old screen.
Clean the Frame
Use a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol to clean the frame where the new screen will be installed. Remove any old adhesive residue to ensure a smooth surface.
Install the New Screen
Connect the display cable of the new screen to the motherboard. Align the screen with the frame and apply double-sided adhesive tape or screen adhesive around the edges. Press firmly to secure the new screen.
Reconnect Battery and Replace Back Cover
Reconnect the battery connector and secure the cover with screws. Snap the back cover onto the device, ensuring all clips are engaged.
Power On and Test
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test for responsiveness and display quality.
