Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Power off the device. Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover. Once removed, use your fingers to lift the battery out of its compartment.
Unscrew the Midframe
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully set the screws aside. Use the spudger to pry around the edges and separate the midframe from the phone body.
Disconnect the Display Connector
Locate the display connector on the motherboard. Use the spudger to gently lift and disconnect the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard.
Remove the Broken Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Apply the suction cup to the screen and gently pull while using the plastic opening tool to assist in lifting the screen away from the frame. Be cautious not to apply excessive force.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame. Connect the new display's ribbon cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure.
Reassemble the Phone
Carefully position the midframe back onto the device. Secure it with the screws removed earlier. Reinsert the battery and snap the back cover back into place.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and check the functionality of the new screen. Ensure touch response and display clarity are as expected. If issues arise, recheck connections.
