Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Phone
Press and hold the power button until the power options appear. Tap 'Power Off' and wait for the device to completely shut down.
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover. Once removed, take out the battery by lifting it from the notch at the bottom edge using your fingers or a spudger.
Unscrew the Midframe
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Place the screws in a container to avoid losing them.
Detach the Display Assembly
Apply heat around the edges of the front screen using a heat gun or hairdryer for about 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to gently separate the screen from the frame.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Carefully lift the screen to access the display cable connector. Use tweezers or a spudger to disconnect the cable from the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Align the screen with the frame and press it gently to adhere it using the new adhesive strips or tape.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe by securing all the screws. Insert the battery back into its compartment and snap the back cover into place.
Power On and Test
Turn on the device by pressing the power button. Test the new screen for responsiveness and check for any display issues.
