Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 6 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Off and Eject SIM Card

5 min

Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears, then tap 'Power off'. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.

2

Remove Back Cover

10 min

Use the plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover of the device. Start at one corner and work your way around the edges to avoid damaging the cover.

3

Disconnect Battery

5 min

Locate the battery connector and use the spudger to gently disconnect it from the motherboard. This will ensure there's no power running through the device while you work.

4

Remove Old Screen

15 min

Gently heat the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Use the suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert the plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the device. Be careful to avoid tearing any cables.

5

Install New Screen

15 min

Remove any remaining adhesive from the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Align the new screen with the connectors and press it firmly into place. Use new adhesive strips or screen adhesive to secure it.

6

Reconnect Battery and Assemble Device

10 min

Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Carefully snap the back cover onto the device, ensuring all clips are secure. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
