Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Down the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn off the Motorola Moto E6 Plus completely. Wait until the screen is black and the device is fully powered down.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry open the back cover of the phone. Work your way around the edges until the cover is fully detached. Be careful not to apply too much force.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully disconnect the battery connector using a spudger, ensuring the device is not powered during the repair.
Heat the Screen Edges
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply gentle heat to the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove the screen.
Remove the Old Screen
Attach a suction cup to the lower part of the screen and gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to release the adhesive. Lift the screen slowly to avoid damaging the flex cables.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Once the screen is lifted, locate the display cable. Use tweezers or a spudger to gently disconnect the cable from the motherboard. Set the old screen aside safely.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Carefully align the new screen with the frame and press it down gently. Ensure it sits flush with the device.
Secure the New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the frame of the device. Ensure the adhesive is evenly distributed to secure the screen firmly.
Reconnect the Battery and Replace the Back Cover
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the battery connector shield. Reattach the back cover by pressing it firmly until it snaps into place.
Power On the Device and Test the Screen
Turn on the Motorola Moto E6 Plus and test the new screen to ensure it responds correctly to touch inputs and displays images properly.
