Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on the side of your Moto E6 until the power menu appears. Select 'Power off' to completely turn off the device before starting the repair. This is crucial to avoid electrical hazards.
Remove the Back Cover
Using a plastic opening tool, gently pry around the edges of the back cover to detach it from the phone. Be careful not to use excessive force to avoid damaging the cover or the clips.
Detach the Battery Connector
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to carefully lift and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This will prevent any electrical current from flowing while you replace the battery.
Remove the Old Battery
Using the spudger, gently lift the battery from the bottom edge. If the battery is glued in, apply a small amount of heat around the edges using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Be cautious not to puncture the battery.
Install the New Battery
Position the new battery into the compartment, ensuring it aligns with the connectors. If necessary, apply new adhesive strips to secure the battery. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard by pressing it back into place.
Reattach the Back Cover
Carefully align the back cover with the edges of the phone and press around the perimeter to snap it back into place. Ensure all clips are securely fastened.
Power On the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn on the Moto E6. Verify that the device powers on and check the functionality of the new battery.
