Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Moto E6i by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off'. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Remove Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover of the phone. Start from the bottom edge and gently work your way around. Be cautious not to damage the plastic clips.
Detach Battery Connector
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry up the connector from the socket to disconnect the battery.
Heat and Remove Front Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen and gently pull up while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame.
Disconnect Display Cable
Once the screen is slightly lifted, locate the display cable connector. Use tweezers to carefully disconnect the cable from the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Align the screen with the frame, ensuring a snug fit. Apply the pre-cut adhesive tape to secure the new screen in place.
Reconnect Battery and Test Screen
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Before reassembling completely, power on the device to test the new screen functionality. Ensure the display is working properly and is responsive to touch.
Reassemble Device
Once confirmed that the screen is functioning correctly, power off the device again. Reattach the back cover by snapping it back into place. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
