Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Before beginning the repair, ensure your Moto E6S is completely powered off. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray. This step will prevent any accidental damage or data loss during the repair process.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover of the phone. Start from one corner and gently slide the tool around the edges to release the clips holding the cover in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Once removed, use a spudger to gently pry up the battery connector from the motherboard to disconnect it.
Remove the Old Screen
Apply heat to the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen, then insert a plastic opening tool to separate it from the frame. Carefully disconnect any cables attaching the screen to the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and reconnect any cables to the motherboard. Ensure all connections are secure. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to affix the new screen to the frame.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard and secure the connector cover with screws. Attach the back cover by pressing it into place until all clips snap back in.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure the touch response and display are working correctly.
