Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure your Motorola Moto E7 is completely powered off to avoid any electrical shorts or accidents during the repair.
Remove the SIM and SD Card Tray
Use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM and SD card tray from the side of the device to prevent damage during disassembly.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Do not overheat, as excessive heat can damage the display or other components.
Loosen the Screen
Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Use a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame by sliding it around the edges. Proceed slowly to avoid cracking the screen further.
Disconnect the Screen Cables
Once the screen is loose, gently open it from the chassis like a book. Use tweezers to carefully lift the screen connector latch and disconnect the flex cables from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Fully detach the old screen from the device. Ensure that no adhesive residue remains on the frame, as this will interfere with the installation of the new screen.
Install the New Screen
Position the new screen on the device and reconnect the flex cables to the motherboard. Ensure each connector is securely attached and the latch is closed to prevent disconnections.
Secure the Screen
Apply double-sided adhesive tape around the edges of the frame where the screen will adhere. Carefully align and press the new screen into place, ensuring it is flush with the frame.
Reinsert the SIM and SD Card Tray
Once the screen is secure, reinsert the SIM and SD card tray into the device.
Power On the Device
Power on your Motorola Moto E7 to verify that the new screen is functioning correctly. Ensure that the touch functionality and display are working as expected.
