Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your Moto Edge 20 Fusion until the power off option appears. Tap 'Power Off' and ensure the device is completely turned off before proceeding.
Remove SIM and MicroSD Card Tray
Use the SIM ejection tool to remove the SIM and MicroSD card tray from the device. Set aside in a safe place.
Heat the Edges of the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source in a circular motion to avoid overheating any one area.
Remove the Back Cover
Place a suction cup on the back cover and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Set the back cover aside once removed.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Remove the cover and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Disconnect any screen connectors attached to the motherboard. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive around the screen edges. Carefully use the plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Remove the old screen and clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and connect any necessary connectors to the motherboard. Secure the screen using adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard and replace the connector cover. Secure it with screws. Reattach the back cover using new adhesive or the existing adhesive if it is still tacky. Reinsert the SIM and MicroSD card tray.
