Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Begin by powering off your Motorola Moto Edge 20 Lite. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card and tray. Place the device on a clean, flat surface.
Heat and Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully use the plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover starting from a corner. Work your way around the edges to release it completely.
Disconnect the Battery
Unscrew the Phillips screws securing the battery connector shield. Use tweezers to remove the shield and a spudger to disconnect the battery connector to avoid accidental power-on.
Remove the Old Screen
Locate and unscrew any screws securing the screen connector shield. Use the spudger to disconnect the screen connector. Apply heat around the edges of the screen and use the suction cup to gently lift and separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Clean the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Remove any remaining adhesive. Place new adhesive strips or double-sided tape on the frame. Align and connect the new screen connector, then carefully place the new screen onto the frame, pressing gently to secure it.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the connector shield with its screws. Carefully align and press the back cover into place, ensuring it securely adheres to the new adhesive.
Power On and Test
Reinsert the SIM card and tray. Power on the device to test the new screen for functionality. Ensure touch response and display quality are satisfactory.
