Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Tap on 'Power Off' to turn off the device completely. Confirm that the device is off before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Insert a SIM eject tool or a paperclip into the SIM tray hole. Gently push until the tray pops out. Remove the tray and set it aside.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen for about 2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Carefully pull up on the suction cup to create a gap. Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges to release the adhesive. Work slowly to avoid damaging the display connectors.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Once the screen is loosened, carefully lift it from the device. Use a spudger to disconnect the display cable from the motherboard by gently lifting the connector.
Remove the Old Screen
Completely separate the old screen from the device. Remove any remaining adhesive residue from the frame using a spudger or tweezers.
Attach the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame. Connect the display cable to the motherboard, ensuring it is securely attached.
Secure the Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided adhesive tape around the frame. Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring it is aligned correctly. Apply gentle pressure around the edges to secure it.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card tray back into its slot until it clicks into place.
Power On the Device and Test
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. Test the new screen for responsiveness and functionality to ensure it is working correctly.
