Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button on your Motorola Moto Edge 50 Fusion 5G until the option to power off appears. Select 'Power Off' and wait until the device is completely shut down before proceeding.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully use a plastic opening tool to create a gap and insert a spudger to work around the edges. Lift the back cover gently to remove it.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it. This step is crucial to prevent short-circuiting during the repair.
Remove the Screen
Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly. While lifting, insert a plastic opening tool to gently separate the screen from the frame. Apply heat if necessary to soften the adhesive further. Carefully disconnect the display cable and remove the screen.
Prepare the New Screen
Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to remove any residual adhesive. Align the new screen with the frame and connect the display cable.
Attach the New Screen
Apply adhesive tape or screen adhesive around the edges of the frame. Carefully place the new screen onto the frame and press gently to secure it.
Reconnect the Battery and Test
Reconnect the battery connector. Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning properly. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press firmly around the edges to secure it. Use a heat gun if necessary to re-adhere the cover properly.
